Living in a community with a Home Owners Association we feel it important that everyone understands the rules and regulations that have been put in place to ensure a cohesive community.  We would like your relocation to Petra Private to be nothing more than the positive experience it should be.

 

In the case of Petra Homes the homes themselves are freehold however there is common property that is deeded to all of these homes, meaning each homeowner equally owns 1/22th of the common property. 

 

The maintenance  responsibility of this property in the case of Petra Homes is delegated to your homeowners committee, an elected body made up of 3 volunteers from the community.  The management of the common property is manages in accordance with the co-tenancy agreement which forms part of each of your property deeds on file with the city of Ottawa when you purchase.
